Hello! I'm Marlo M. Nice to meet you!

Hi everyone!

I'm Marlo Miyashiro (a.k.a. IMakeCuteStuff) a jeweler by trade, crafter of sewn things, teacher of photography techniques, mentor/arts business consultant for emerging artists, and co-owner and managing director at The Handmade Showroom and Bezel & Kiln in downtown Seattle. (phew!)

When you book a session with me, I bring all of my first-hand knowledge to the conversation, having been in the retail and wholesale craft industries for over 30 years.

My first full-time business was selling my hand-fabricated studio jewelry line to over 200 shops and galleries all over the country and abroad. After moving to Seattle, I grew my business and organized the Seattle Etsy sellers team from 2007 through 2015.

Today my time is spent on individual consulting, teaching, and my current projects, The Handmade Showroom (est. 2015) and Bezel & Kiln (est. 2019).

I'm proud to say I've learned a lot and have been able to keep up with the many changes in the retail landscape over the years. With this knowledge, I teach small business workshops and product photography classes at conferences all over the West Coast, including Craftcation Conference in Ventura, CA, and have a couple of classes available on CreativeLive's online craft business education channel as well.

If you are struggling with figuring out Your Next Best Step for your business or need some solid advice on improving your product photography, I would love to help you on your journey!

Check out my services and contact me when you're ready to work on moving forward with your creative business!

About Marlo M.

the handmade showroom and

Bezel & Kiln at Pacific Place

THS

The Handmade Showroom began as a 1200 sq. ft. pop-up storefront in the Summer of 2015 showcasing 35 artists from in and around the Seattle area. Since then, we have become a permanent retail storefront, representing the work of over 200 talented artists from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. You'll find us on the 3rd floor in our largest storefront to date inside the New Pacific Place in the heart of downtown Seattle and online at TheHandmadeShowroom.com

Bezel & Kiln opened in September 2019 right next to The Handmade Showroom. This new space provided Marlo M. with the opportunity to create a one of a kind collection of art jewelry, fine housewares, and personal accessories by 50 talented artists from all over the world. The perfect compliment to The Handmade Showroom, the intimate gallery environment is the perfect space to discover your newest favorite thing.

At the end of 2023, we decided to consolidate our efforts and close the Bezel & Kiln storefront in order to bring it into The Handmade Showroom as a "shop-in-shop" concept as the Bezel & Kiln Collection. The result is a wonderful blended experience that truly offers something for everyone.

Visit The Handmade Showroom and the Bezel & Kiln Collection on the 3rd floor inside Pacific Place in downtown Seattle. Open every day - 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Marlo M

I served the creative community of Seattle as the organizer of the Seattle Etsy sellers team, Seattle Handmade (formerly known as etsyRAIN) for 8 years and am now the proud co-owner of both The Handmade Showroom and Bezel & Kiln in downtown Seattle, WA. Between both locations, we represent more than 250 independent artists and makers from the Pacific Northwest and the world.

Have fun looking thorough my scrapbook of community events we have produced over the years! (Touch and drag the photos around to see them all!)
